- Abstract
This layer presents the boundaries of Las Piedras River sub-basin, belonging to the upper Cauca River basin, in Colombia. The delimitation was obtained using a DEM with a resolution of 12.5 meters, as part of two interrelated researchs carried out in the Universidad del Cauca: the undergraduate work degree in physical engineering called ESTIMATION OF DIFFUSE POLLUTION BY AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITIES THROUGH THE SWAT HYDROLOGICAL METHOD IN THE SUB-BASIN OF THE RIVER LAS PIEDRAS and the Diana Ruiz doctoral thesis called INCIDENCE OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION IN THE ECOSYSTEM SERVICE OF WATER SUPPLY FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION IN HIGH ANDEAN BASINS. These researchs provided base information for the Water Security and Sustainable Development Hub project. This layer makes it possible to identify the water capture region of Las Piedras River, one of the main sources of water supply for the population of central Cauca, which is affected by the development of productive activities, mainly livestock.…
