Abstract

This is the  Upper Cauca River Basin characterisation document carried out by the University of Cauca and University of Valle, members of Colombian Collaboratory. This document contain the compilation, systematization and analysis of the secondary information that supports that following: Understand the current/baseline conditions in the basin under study, develop a good understanding of drivers of historical changes in basin characteristics, identify drivers that could potentially influence/drive future changes in basin characteristics to inform future research in the Hub and identify knowledge gaps regarding the organization of the actors, the socio-ecological conflicts/problems that take place in the UCRB, opportunities for improving water management and handling processes, and the risks that their mismanagement and management can cause.
